Welcome and thanks for visiting! I am all about application design and development: web-based, desktop, and server applications. As an individual, I create cutting-edge user experiences with the latest technologies, often in collaboration with others. This site is primarily my "sandbox" for experimenting with various web technologies. For example, I've played around with the Google Map API, with using Wordpress as an e-commerce module in conjunction with PayPal's Website Payments Pro service, and so on. I'm constantly updating it. The latest edition uses the Drupal Content Management System to serve up this site's content. So enjoy the site as it continues to grow, and contact me by clicking the link above.

Open Source

Open Source development is the wave of the future. Developers like myself can offer expertise implementing solutions rather than reinventing the same code. I’ve implemented numerous open source projects from blogs to communications libraries to VNC servers. At some point in the near future I’d like to contribute code to one of these open efforts.

Social Networking

Social networks are all the rage! I've recently implemented a prototype for a video based social network that includes membership, friends, top featured content, featured members, forums and groups. The system is based on the Drupal CMS and runs in the LAMP environment.

Drupal was great for this sort of project because it's open source and comes with a variety of modules that are contributed by the diverse community of users and developers. The system enables rapid development on a secure and well supported platform.

Web 2.0 and stuff

Welcome to my "sandbox". The sandbox is where I get to play around with different technologies and at the same time show a bit of what's possible.

For example, I have designed and implemented communications applications that run on both desktops and mobile devices. I've utilized a wide variety of protocols including XML, proprietary sockets, Web Services, Corba, and others.

Need a simple website? I can provide you with websites with a full range of functionality including image galleries, contact forms, social networking, Web 2.0 AJAX, Javascript, and DHTML.
